Our tort practice focuses on the defense of claims involving
toxic torts, business torts, defamation, accountant malpractice,
attorney malpractice claims and fiduciary litigation.
We have successfully litigated and tried cases in many areas
of business and commercial law including banking, contracts,
partnership disputes, employment, trade secrets, restrictive
covenants, equitable actions and injunctions, securities and
commodities fraud, corporate governance, real estate, trusts
and contested probate.
Our health care litigation experience includes the business
and regulatory aspects of health care as well as the defense
of medical malpractice actions. We have litigated issues involving
Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and billing, whistle-blower
and qui tam suits for false Medicare claims, improper
fee splitting and referral fees, disciplinary actions by peer
review and regulatory bodies, physician contracts and medical
consumer fraud and deceptive trade practices. We have significant
experience defending medical malpractice actions, including
dozens of successful jury verdicts for our physician and hospital
clients.
We represent lenders, developers and purchasers in a broad range
of commercial real estate matters involving real estate acquisition,
financing, development, leasing and workouts. Our transaction
practice focuses on advising and counseling clients in all aspects
of corporate and organization formation, finance and governance.
We regularly advise clients on issues involving organizational
structure, executive compensation, employment and non-competition
agreements and severance issues. |
